Hiking trails

Beyond Preikestolen and Kjeragbolten, Rogaland's hiking runs from short forest walks near Stavanger to the Ryfylke high country around Frafjord and Sirdal. Dalsnuten, above Sandnes, is a popular short climb with a view back over the city and fjords, workable as a morning outing. Trail difficulty and marking vary a lot outside the two headline hikes, so checking a route's grading before setting out matters more here than at Preikestolen.
