Trip planning
Norway is outside the EU and the eurozone, so prices run in Norwegian kroner (NOK), not euros โ and Norway is a genuinely expensive country for food, tours and hire cars, worth budgeting for rather than assuming Nordic prices are close to Western European ones. Card payment is near-universal, and carrying cash is rarely necessary anywhere in the region. Booking a Lysefjord boat, a Preikestolen shuttle or Kjerag transport ahead matters most in the short summer high season.
