Cycling

The flat farmland and coast road of Jæren, south of Sandnes, is the region's best cycling terrain, a contrast to the steep fjord-side roads elsewhere in Rogaland. Rental bikes are available in Stavanger and Sandnes for shorter rides along the harbour and out toward Sola. Longer coastal routes toward Orre and Borestranden beaches suit a full day out of the saddle rather than a quick loop.
