Sailing
Stavanger's sheltered skerries and the wider fjord system around Ryfylke give sailing a natural home, with charter and crewed options departing from the city's marinas. It's a slower, quieter alternative to a powered fjord cruise or RIB safari, and depends more on wind and weather for how far a trip actually reaches. Summer, with its longer daylight and calmer average conditions, is the main season for sailing charters here.
