Skogsprett's graded treetop courses, the beaches of Jæren, and Stavanger's flatter harbourfront walks all suit families better than the region's headline hikes. Preikestolen is walkable with older, fit children given the 8 km round trip, but Kjeragbolten's chained sections and exposure rule it out for young kids. Indoor options like the Norwegian Petroleum Museum and Viking House give a rained-out day a fallback.
